Subject: American Airlines award
Hello everyone,
I wanted to share this with you ……
Mark Carroll, manager in passengers sales, received an honorable award from American Airlines for reaching out and working to get medical treatment to save Christopher’s life. Christopher Bowman had his 24th birthday two weeks ago while in the hospital and we celebrated knowing that the doctors had claimed that Chris would not see his 24th birthday.
This is exciting for all involved in helping Chris receive treatment to save his life. All attending the conference were able to see Chris and hear his testimony. We serve an amazing God!

All,
Last night I was given a great honor. But that honor goes to all of you as well. I was attending the American Airlines Global Sales Conference in Ft Worth. We have a very special banquet to honor top sales performers, etc and a big speech for each one by our Vice President. They decided to create a new award this year called the Spirit of American award. It awards a crystal Eagle to the winner. It's for community service/charitable service and/or philanthropic work. It's voted on globally by managers. My boss nominated me after watching me work on Christopher's situation for the past few months. I ended up winning the award after our VP told a tearful audience about Christopher's story. I had our teary-eyed VP hand me the award and then his boss, the 2nd or 3rd highest man at American thanked me twice for the service telling me it had brought him to tears.
It was a great honor, one I'd rather not have experienced without all of you, who helped so much.
The 2nd session of the conference started today and their banquet is tomorrow night - a different group in the same organization. The VP wants me to come back again to have it presented in front of them. When he found out Chris was going to be flying into DFW, he wanted Chris to be there. So tomorrow night should be even more amazing, with Chris present. I'll hopefully be able to get video footage of it.
Blessings,
Mark
Christopher with Yvonne, who does missions work in Belize and was the main contact. This was the arrival back home at airport in Belize. His tumor has been reduced by half and they will do a follow-up procedure in August, probably in Belize. While he has not regained his ability to walk, he was given vital rehabilitation skills at the hospital in OKC, which taught him to be independent. He is doing well and happy to be back home.
